Sarah was with us 4 nights per week from the night we came home from the hospital to 6 months. I kept extending our contract because I could not imagine letting go of her. Sarah possesses a wisdom and a grounded, centered energy that I desperately needed to be around, to be influenced by, in those days when anxieties and intrusive thoughts have so much power. I was haunted by phantom cries and would constantly text her from the other room: is he crying? Her unfailingly patient replies were always prompt and kind.
