Preparing for our first child was one of the most important and vulnerable experiences of our lives, and choosing Brielle was one of the best decisions we made. We looked through and contacted many doulas while preparing for our first child. Obviously, this is an extremely sensitive and serious journey, and like any couple, we wanted to work with someone we felt comfortable with, safe with, and knowledgeable—someone who could help prepare us for each stage of this pregnancy, birth, and postpartum process. We chose Brielle because of her presence, grounded embodiment, her ability to hold a strong container for truth, and the flexibility to meet us where we are and guide us through the process. Pregnancy is a serious journey and should not be taken lightly, but approached with fierce compassion, love, and strength. Brielle was with us throughout the entire process, before, during, and after the birth. I, the husband writing this, had no idea of the intensity of the situation. Brielle helped me through the process and supported me with such a compassionate and strong presence. We actually had an emergency situation, and Brielle guided us through it calmly and with strength. That experience showed what it truly takes to operate in this space, an incredible amount of love, strength, service, faith, and knowledge, which Brielle embodied throughout our entire journey. You have to be made for this process, because I don’t believe many people could have shown up the way she did in a time when we truly needed it. I highly recommend Brielle—she will forever be part of our family’s story. The way she showed up for us during one of the most important moments of our lives is something we will never forget, and we will always be grateful for the role she played in bringing our son safely into the world.
