We love Meredith! We worked with them as first-time parents and truly had no idea where to start. Between being pregnant and working full-time, I felt overwhelmed and unsure what I should even be thinking about at each stage. Meredith scheduled regular check-ins and created such a strong sense of structure and support. I was able to relax knowing someone was guiding us and making sure we weren’t missing anything.
Going into birth, I was especially nervous because I knew so little about pregnancy, labor, and postpartum. Meredith provided so much thoughtful support throughout, from education to helping us prepare a birth plan, and always making space for our questions. When I went into prodromal labor, they even came by our home to help me find positions and stretches that made things more manageable, which made a huge difference in those early hours.
When labor actually started, the timing was tough as Meredith had just finished supporting another family. Even so, they immediately reached out to their network and connected us with another doula who supported us for the first several hours. That level of care and commitment meant so much to us. Once Meredith joined us, they provided incredible hands-on support, helped us navigate decisions, and supported both me and my partner throughout the experience. After our baby was born and wasn’t breathing right away, I remember instinctively turning to Meredith. In such a frightening and vulnerable moment, they made me feel safe and grounded. I truly cannot imagine our birth experience without them.
I would recommend Meredith to anyone, and especially to first-time parents who are on the fence. Having their support made all the difference for us.
