My wife and I were seeking a birthing doula, as we both felt having additional support during the birthing process would provide us comfort. After interviews with different candidates, we chose Britney because we were impressed by how organized and experienced she was. She also had the right 'vibe' for us, someone that could validate our feelings throughout the process, advocate for us in the room and help us assess all our options. Britney was instrumental during our birthing process. From helping us create a birthing plan prior, to always being available to chat, we felt we had another resource we could rely on during a time when there are a lot of unknowns. When the labor process got complicated, Britney made sure we knew all our options and weren't being pressured by doctors and staff into making decisions that weren't right for us. We were very lucky to have Britney advocate for us and in the end avoided an unplanned c-section when other options were available. Britney followed up with us after the birth where we processed everything that happened together. Overall, we were very happy with Britney as our birthing doula. We recommend her to others looking for someone who has a calming approach and a professionalism that helped make our birth experience a positive one!
