Testimonial for Cecily Ivey
Cecily Ivey was my doula for my third and fourth children (2023 and 2025). I had used pain medication and been induced for both of my first two children and was looking for a different experience. My husband and I knew we didn't have the expertise or knowledge in natural birth or pain management to give us confidence going into labor and delivery, so we decided to use a doula to help educate us and advocate for us. I am forever grateful we made this decision. Cecily absolutely changed the birth experience for us, making it peaceful and grounded. During my first birth with her present, she taught my husband how to support me in ways that would help relieve pain. She gave me confidence and encouragement before and during labor. I was able to deliver my son without the use of pain medication. The fact that I opted to use Cecily again for my fourth baby's birth should speak for itself. Both my husband and I felt that her presence vastly improved our experience and she gave us the tools we needed to focus on each other and our baby. She equipped us and was as involved as we needed her to be in any given moment, but she also didn't hesitate to stay behind the scenes if we just needed each other. For anyone looking for a doula, Cecily is calm, unruffled, educated, non-judgmental and nurturing. I cannot recommend Cecily enough!
