Kiera was prompt, communicative, and comforting from our first interaction with her. She helped me to form my preferences and was never pushy or judgemental. While my preference was to have an unmedicated hospital birth, after 48 hours of labor, Kiera and my husband helped me to decide to get an epidural. She helped me to understand that there is pain in labor, but then there is unnecessary suffering. The epidural allowed me to have a peaceful birth - I was listening to worship music and was able to have the birth I wanted, even with the change of plans.
Kiera also supported my husband and empowered him to be a vital companion throughout pregnancy and labor. He tells me again and again how thankful he was for Kiera. Throughout pregnancy, at our house when I was in labor, and at the hospital, Kiera was truly our most treasured companion.
