Emily is so kind, thoughtful, knowledgeable and supportive. She helped me navigate a complex emotional landscape as I prepared for my rainbow baby. As we drafted my birth plan, she raised questions I hadn't considered and explained some health situations I didn't even know about, so I went into this well informed thanks to her.
She was always quick to reply to texts and calls, and she took initiative to check in with me often. My labor progressed rather fast so I unfortunately didn't get to use many of the pain management resources she has available, but I remember the bumpy ball and her calming voice helped me focus and stay grounded through the pain. She made suggestions on positions that helped me and encouraged me throughout. She took amazing photos of the birth that were professionally edited and sent them over in a timely manner. She stayed with me after the birth, explaining what the doctors were doing so I felt informed and could relax with my baby. Afterwards, she continued to check in regularly to see how both I and the baby were doing, which helped alleviate my anxiety about our health. She shared her experiences and let me know when a concern was something that I should reach out to a doctor about. At our postpartum visit, she took even more beautiful photos and even brought over some gifts. She was always considerate, asking my preferences rather than assuming anything, which made me feel empowered every step of the way. I'm so glad Emily was there by my side throughout this journey!
