Anyone having a baby needs an Adele in their life! I truly don’t know how I would have gotten through labour and delivery without her—she was an absolute lifesaver.
Adele supported us at home while we waited to head to the hospital, providing a TENS machine, helping time contractions, and offering constant encouragement and reassurance. When we arrived at the hospital, she seamlessly stepped in to communicate with the nurses and doctors on our behalf while we were understandably preoccupied. She worked so collaboratively with the medical team (shoutout to Nurse Brooke and Dr. Cullingham at South Health), and it genuinely felt like we had a dream team supporting us.
She also captured some beautiful moments during labour, including the very first photos of our sweet baby—something we will treasure forever.
Her support didn’t stop there. Adele checked in on us multiple times after we got home and even brought thoughtful goodies. She was especially incredible during one of my lowest moments, when I was struggling with breastfeeding. She spent hours with me, offering guidance, patience, and encouragement until I felt more confident.
I can’t recommend Adele enough. If you’re considering a doula, do yourself a favour and meet with her—it truly feels like this is her calling, and she is exceptional at what she does.
