From start to finish Dia was an amazing asset to have on my side. This was my first experience with a doula but I had specific requirements that I wanted met: a calming presence, someone to push me to have the unmedicated birth I wanted, someone to be able to rely on for holistic and evidence based information, and someone with a variety of tools that would help me with pain management. Dia checked every last box and more. She was always available when I needed her leading up to the birth and provided support and reassurance for even small questions I had. I had a very different birth story than I had planned (breech delivery spontaneously at home). Dia not only provided resources to me when I found out the baby was breech, but she was also the person that provided me specific guidance on delivering the baby when birth was imminent and I wasn't going to make it to the birth center in time. I accredit her knowledge and expertise as critical in helping me and my husband have a safe delivery in what could have been a very scary situation. She also was invaluable in helping me to avoid unnecessary medical intervention post delivery and was an unmatched calming presence throughout. I would recommend Dia to anyone and would absolutely use her again for another baby.
