I’m a 28-year-old first-time mom who had an unmedicated birth at the Naval Hospital, and I can’t say enough positive things about Rebekah. From the start, she made me feel completely at ease. During prenatal visits, she took the time to educate me on building a birth plan and achieving my goal of a natural birth. She is highly knowledgeable and explains the “why” behind her practices, which helped me feel confident and prepared going into labor.
When labor began, she was an incredible source of support. She helped me manage pain and ease anxiety, often anticipating my needs before I could express them. From reassurance and comfort measures to guiding my husband on how to best support me, she made the experience feel safe and empowering. She kept me focused and strong, even as contractions intensified.
As an EMT, I value professionalism in healthcare, and Rebekah exceeded expectations. She helped me stay committed to my plan for a medication-free birth and advocated for me when needed, ensuring my voice was heard while maintaining a calm environment.
Her endurance was amazing. She supported me continuously from 8pm to 5am without wavering. She didn’t let me give up, and she never gave up on me.
At our postpartum visit, she helped me process my experience, filled in gaps in my birth story, and provided guidance on babywearing and breastfeeding, leaving me reassured and confident.
I would recommend Rebekah to anyone and would absolutely work with her again. She was truly invaluable, and I feel so blessed she was my doula.
