We hired Andrea very late in my pregnancy, at 38 weeks. Even in that short time we were able to learn a lot and we felt so supported heading into birth. She guided us through laboring at home, which helped me stay calm and feel confident, before meeting us at the hospital. The birth didn’t go as planned, but through it all Andrea’s presence was so reassuring. She had great tools to help me through and was a tremendous emotional support for my husband when needed. We learned so much from her in the time after birth, too, that we only learned because of her. We didn’t know what we didn’t know, and she filled in the gaps.
The postpartum visit a few weeks later was so helpful as well. Physically because she helped with some household tidying, but she also helped by answering my first-time mom questions about the newborn stage, feeding/nursing, sleep and my own postpartum healing/care.
I certainly recommend working with Andrea!
