My husband & I cannot begin to express our gratitude for Danielle.
When our first birth turned into a home-birth hospital transfer, Danielle was the one who was there every step of the way - through the unplanned C-section, for the photography, and to care for both my husband & our newborn while I was in the OR. She was there at our house when we were discharged from the hospital. And she was there whenever I needed support through the difficult postpartum recovery.
When we found ourselves unexpectedly pregnant at 9 months postpartum, Danielle was my first call. I wanted to have a trial of labor & attempt a VBAC. She referred me to an incredible midwife & OBGYN and began walking the pregnancy journey with me as I battled previous birth traumas and prepared to try my first vaginal delivery.
Having a doula to support you, to advocate for you, to keep you on track during the final weeks of extreme discomfort in pregnancy, and ESPECIALLY during labor is so important - and Danielle was truly the reason we had a successful VBAC just two weeks ago.
As always, labor doesn’t go the way you plan. When you’re in pain, when you’re unsure what the next move should be, having Danielle there who was so knowledgeable, able to discuss the full 360 view, and help guide us toward the overall goal was truly the biggest blessing.
She didn’t only care for me, but she worked with my husband, helped him know how to help me, was the additional advocate we BOTH needed in a space we only are briefly in when giving birth and have big decisions to constantly make and directions to pivot.
Danielle, thank you for helping us achieve our VBAC. Thank you for your emotional support. Thank you for your guidance! Thank you for your love for our family and our children.
We cannot wait to have you by our side again for our next birth (when the time comes! Lol).
