Testimonial for Jordan Martin
I am going to try to put into words the impact that Jordan has had upon my life in such a short amount of time, but I do not think I could ever express the amount of gratitude I have for Jordan. Jordan truly stepped up to the plate as a back up doula for my birth and was there for me through some of the most difficult days of my life. I do not think I could have done it without her. As a first time parent, I did not understand the amount of pressure the hospital would place upon me to introduce interventions during labor. I learned a lot about myself during the birth process and how able I am (or.. am not) to advocate for myself in times of distress. Jordan was an absolute god send. Through her personal and professional experiences, she was able to answer all of my questions each time the doctor pushed an intervention that I did not want. She also supported all of my decisions and helped me to respond to the doctor when I could not find the words on my own. During this experience, you could tell that Jordan not only was there to provide help, but truly cares for each of her clients and their children. Her heart is expansive and she cares deeply about the people around her. After birth, Jordan continued to provide support. Not only did she help with lactation issues, but she was willing to lend an ear anytime I needed someone to talk to during postpartum. Pure chance and fate seems to have placed Jordan in our paths and I can only think the universe intended for us to meet, exactly as it happened. I am enternaly grateful to Jordan and I am so thankful that she helped me bring my son into the world. She will forever have a very special place in our hearts, and if we ever have another child, Jordan will be the first person we call. Thank you, Jordan.
