During my induction and labor, she provided the warmth, attention, and touch I needed. She also had a gift for balancing out my husband's analytical, engineering mind — supporting and guiding him through the experience just as much as she supported me.
That ability to care for both of us is the core reason we chose her as our birth doula, and frankly why she became our postpartum doula as well. Over the past 11 months, Anuja has helped with everything from diaper changes, play, tummy time, and crawling, to feeding, reading and taking our daughter on walks. She will also surprise us with a small, thoughtful gift — a book, a little spoon — because she notices what our daughter enjoys and anticipates what we might need next.
