When we interviewed Michelle to support us through our postpartum experience with our first little one, it was so clear how thoughtful, caring, respectful, and trustworthy she was. She listened intently to our hopes and expectations and was honest about hers as well. Her authenticity and transparency made room for true connection and the certainty of compatibility. It was a full body YES.
Once we birthed our baby, we could not wait to invite Michelle over and receive support. She always came in quietly and led her visits with connection, checking in to see how baby and I (and Papa too) were feeling. She then got busy with household chores like piled up dishes and vacuuming. Per my request, Michelle made energy balls and banana bread often. Perfect for those late night hunger pangs caused by the voracious appetite of a breastfeeding mother. Michelle was always present, calm, loving, and incredibly helpful. I felt safe to be the raw version of myself that I was while undergoing a magnificent and yet at times murky transformation. It was truly a gift to have her company and practical support.
With Michelle’s busy hands and open heart, we were able to fully sink in to the first several weeks of parenthood. I allowed myself to rest and soak in my baby's first hours, days, and weeks of life because I knew Michelle would help keep the home in order. She was reliable, communicative, and emotionally aware.
We plan to have a second baby not far from now and will absolutely choose Michelle’s postpartum services again. She is meant to be doing this work, and we feel so lucky to have found her.
