Where do I start about my experience with Sophia. Initially I was skeptical about having a doula it felt like one more thing to do. However I could not have envisioned my birth experience without Sophia. Sophia helped me throughout the labor process and delivery of my sweet boy. She prepared me and helped me write my birth plan but more importantly helped my spouse and I be on the same page. She invited conversation supported by facts and was welcoming to our wishes. She gave us tools for pain management and practiced them with us before the birth. During the birth she helped me to progress through support and positioning and advocated for my needs. She helped with holistic pain management. She was positive and a guiding light. I do not think I would have tolerated a unmedicated birth if it was not for Sophia. After the birth her work is not done she is supportive checking in on me and helped me process my experience. Thank you Sophia!
