I recently went through my first pregnancy and first birth with Charity Jeffs, and could not recommend her more to anyone in the area looking for a supportive doula! My husband and I knew early on in my pregnancy that we wanted to find a doula to hire to help the both of us during the birth, and I am forever grateful that we found Charity, she is incredible!
From the very beginning, she provided my husband and I with tools and support to help educate us on all of our options for our hospital birth preferences. Her in-person classes were very helpful, and each class I would leave feeling more confident and knowledgable about the birth experience I was hoping to have. When I finally went into labor, I am very confident that I wouldn’t have been able to handle labor in the calm way that I did without her support. She guided me through the intense (and unexpected) parts, and reassured me that I was capable of birthing my baby — and I did it! I hope more women get to experience the empowered feeling I had (and still have) from building confidence around birth and trusting my body thanks to the help of a doula. What a gift.
