She has the perfect combination of gentle compassion, knowledge of labor and birth, and confidence, which made me and my husband both feel at-ease from the beginning. The coaching and encouragement started from our first meeting, as I was coping with movement restrictions. As our due date approached, I had prodormal labor for two weeks, during which Kirsten was always available for encouragement and ideas via text. When labor finally did start, it was still sporadic, and Kirsten helped us keep things moving along and more regular. We labored at home as long as possible, which was absolutely the key to having an unmedicated birth at the hospital. Kirsten coached my husband on how to support me, which led to the most beautiful connection and low-stress labor for both of us. When we arrived at the hospital, even the nurse commended Kirsten and said we arrived at the perfect time. I was ready to push, and our beautiful baby girl was born within the hour.
