My husband and I hired Amber to be our doula after having family members recommend her. We did not even know what a doula was or why we would need one as this was our first baby! From the very first visit we felt so much more at ease about the entire pregnancy, labor and delivery process! Amber is very thorough and knowledgeable about it all. I swear I texted her multiple times a week saying "is this normal?!" because I knew she would get back to me quickly with any information she had. Just when I thought Amber couldn't get any better, it was time to actually have the baby. We had a failed induction and then a successful induction, both of which Amber showed up ready to help us in all the ways. The successful induction was quite the process. We went through hours upon hours of labor all of which Amber stayed for until we had to ask her to go get some food and take a break! She truly was amazing. My baby was positioned sideways in my pelvis and Amber worked tirelessly to get me in all the positions that would hopefully help get him situated in a better spot for delivery. When the nurses and midwives would give us recommendations or even give us information that we weren't quite understanding, Amber was there to talk us through it all, which is very helpful when you've been going through hours of labor. When baby boy finally made his arrival Amber took some amazing photos that we will cherish forever. We truly could not have gotten through it all without her guidance and presence.
