I was initially on the fence about hiring a doula, but I am so incredibly thankful that I did. Heather and her doula partner Michelle were incredible! It was very reassuring to know that one of them would always be available, with the other as backup, since timing with delivery can be so unpredictable.
Their support throughout pregnancy, delivery, and postpartum was truly exceptional. Before the birth, we had a couple of in-home visits where they took the time to answer all of our lingering questions as first-time parents and walk us through what to expect, including helpful techniques to manage early labour at home. They struck the perfect balance between professionalism and genuine care, making us feel supported and understood every step of the way.
Michelle was the doula present during my delivery, and she was absolutely amazing! I truly believe that without her guidance, encouragement, and coaching throughout labour, I may not have had the vaginal delivery I was hoping for.
After the birth, Heather provided incredible breastfeeding support. I struggled quite a bit with latching at first, and she was patient, knowledgeable, and persistent in helping me try different positions and techniques. Breastfeeding was very important to me, and her dedication made all the difference. She came to the hospital after delivery, even visited my home in the middle of the night when I needed help, and was always available by text! The level of care and support she provided was above and beyond anything I could have expected!
Heather has a unique ability to make you feel heard, comforted, and truly cared for. She was like a mom, coach, therapist, and cheerleader all in one during such an important and vulnerable time.
I felt I didn’t just get two wonderful doulas to work with but created amazing friends in the process! I would wholeheartedly recommend Heather and Michelle to anyone considering doula support!
