Working with Violet was a wonderful experience. She was on time, prepared, and present with our child overnight so that I could heal and my husband and I could get some much needed rest during the early months of our son's life. She was also caring--making me special healing tea, giving me postpartum tips, sharing books with me, and generally being a supportive presence. She also hand knit our son a stuffed animal! During the actual labor she was calm and non-anxious. She helped me make some critical decisions that I felt comfortable with on my own, beyond the fact that the midwives were pushing me to choose them.
