I met Cheryl a few years ago through a collaborative workshop, and something always stayed with me—I knew if I had another baby, I’d want her by my side. When I found out I was pregnant with my third and my previous doula wasn’t available, I immediately felt called to reach out to her.
From the start, Cheryl was incredible—open, honest, and so generous with her knowledge. She supported my birth plan while offering thoughtful guidance and reassurance every step of the way. Even as my due date approached and I knew how busy she was, she was always responsive (even in the middle of the night!), which meant so much.
I had a long and exhausting early labor at home—48 hours of prodromal labor—and Cheryl stayed connected with me throughout. When things finally progressed, everything moved quickly. She met us at the birth center right on time and played such a crucial role during the final stage. Pushing with baby #3 was the most challenging part for me, but Cheryl guided me through it with different techniques and positioning that truly made a difference.
She worked seamlessly alongside my husband, the midwives, and nurses, creating such a supportive and calm environment. She also captured beautiful photos that I’ll cherish forever.
After the birth, she stayed to make sure baby latched and that we felt comfortable before she left. Her care didn’t stop there—she continued to check in for weeks postpartum, offering helpful advice that really supported my healing and recovery.
I can’t recommend Cheryl enough. She was an invaluable part of my birth team, and I’m so grateful to have had her support during such a special experience.
