Hi,
Nearly and almost, 5 years later and this still haunts me to the day. Hired Jenn in 2021 for a birth in early 2022 at HOCC. No problems, no complaints, she was your typical doula. She came as a referral from my pelvic floor PT, so I knew her referral must have been top notch.
The day of the birth she never showed up. No call. No text.
It was nearly almost 12+ ish hours later and she finally got a hold of me... by text. Not even a phone call apologizing. Never called or even showed empathy, just a text on how her phone must have been accidentally marked on silent. As a mother myself, my phone is always on so I really don't know what happened.
She was proactive without me asking and did send some $ back, as she should. She was a complete no call, no show. But the way it was handled after the fact, was terrible. This has been haunting me and on my chest for so long; so I just need to get this off my chest so I can release and move on.
Thank you for letting me get this off my chest and hopefully I can close this chapter.
