She checked and installed our car seat, made sure my birth preferences were communicated directly to my doctor (which genuinely made a difference in my experience), and showed up for overnight visits during those overwhelming early days when we needed support the most.

She was patient, kind, and present, whether that meant educating me on what to expect with my newborn or answering a panicked late-night call during what felt like an emergency. When I didn’t know who else to turn to in the middle of the night, she was the first person I thought of, and she showed up.
My husband and I both leaned on her emotionally in ways we didn’t anticipate needing, and she held that with such grace. I felt heard every single step of the way.
