As a full spectrum doula myself, the moment I found out I was pregnant with our fourth child, I knew we would absolutely need Colleen as our birth doula for this sacred journey. She embodies everything I would seek out in a doula - she's extremely experienced, has vast knowledge on everything prenatal, birth and postpartum, not to mention being non judgmental, open minded with a great big heart! The entire pregnancy Colleen made sure to reach out to check up on us, offer an array of wonderful suggestions and advice and plenty of resources should I need anything. On the big day, she was very punctual in showing up to the birth center and didn't hesitate to assist us in all aspects - making sure I was well nourished, suggesting didferent techniques to assist in baby's desent, massages, assisting my husband and son with anything, pulling out a TENS unit during transition, snapping amazing pictures throughout and gently holding space for me to feel so safe, calm and supported during what came to be an absolutely beautiful water birth. She checked in often postpartum too which was very appreciated. I will always hold such gratitude for Colleen's presence throughout this overall positive experience - it wouldn't have been the same without her!
