Janelle was such a big part of my birth experience, and I honestly don’t know how I would have done it without her.
From the very beginning, she was so intentional with us. The prenatal classes didn’t feel rushed or surface-level as she took the time to really explain things and answer every question we had. Because of that, my husband and I went into labor feeling prepared and confident instead of unsure of what to expect.
When labor started, she was there for us at all hours. Even when we were sent home from the hospital, she stayed right alongside us through it. The next day she came to our house and helped me work through contractions, guiding me through different positions and techniques that made a huge difference. She just knew what my body needed in those moments.
One of the things I appreciated most was how she included my husband. She didn’t replace him; she guided him and showed him how to support me in a way that actually helped. It made the whole experience feel really special for both of us, like we were truly in it together.
There was a point where I was overwhelmed and completely in my head during contractions, and I remember how calmly Janelle stepped in and helped ground me. She brought me back to what I needed to focus on and helped me take it one step at a time. That moment really stuck with me, because I could feel the shift right away.
After everything, her postpartum visit meant a lot too. She took the time to sit with me and talk through the whole experience, which helped me process it in a way I didn’t expect but really needed.
Janelle is incredibly caring, knowledgeable, and present. She shows up fully for you, and that made all the difference for me.
