Julie was invaluable in my labor process and delivery. As first time parents it was incredibly helpful to have someone on our side advocating for us and with us in the hospital. We went over everything prenatally and I thought I had a plan, however my baby had a very different plan for how he decided to make his appearance. My labor was sudden and chaotic and Julie was so vital to helping keep me calm and centered and also helping advocate for us as I ended up with a doctor delivering that I had never met before who was less than patient. I am confident I would've been talked into a c section by the hospital staff if it weren't for Julie's steady presence and reminders that I had choices and that I was capable. Because of her I was able to deliver unmedicated and vaginally as I wanted to and I truly don't think that would have happened without her. Baby and myself had a few complications and Julie stayed until we were all settled and transferred and was a very reassuring presence for my husband during a scary time. Worth every penny for us.
