I don’t know how to put into words what Erin’s support as a doula meant to me. Matresence and giving birth is terrifying—her support helped me feel a little more steady. She asked questions that helped me connect with myself and prepare intentionally. Whenever I felt afraid, she reminded me to come back to my heart, to trust myself. She advocated for me when I couldn’t, and her visits were a balm afterwards. She held our story and filled in what I couldn’t remember, taking photos so we could be present and helping me process birth afterwards. It’s an honour to have her as part a part of my memories of this journey.
