I tell everyone that hiring TBC was the best decision we made in my pregnancy. I was lucky to have a pretty healthy/boring pregnancy so I did not need a ton of prenatal help - but whenever I did have a question, they were quick to respond with a thoughtful, helpful answer. When I went into labor two weeks early, labor came on hard, strong, and fast, which was definitely not what I was expecting as a first time mom. I was so thankful that Sarah happened to be on call that day, as unbeknownst to me she lived very close by and got to my house so fast! As I was terrified and confused, Sarah was the calming presence that my husband and I needed. At the hospital she was a great advocate for what I wanted and was quick to jump in with suggestions. I give her a huge amount of credit for my successful unmedicated birth. And, as if that wasn't all enough, after my daughter was born they were having trouble getting my bleeding under control and the midwife was getting very stressed, Sarah came to the head of my bed and whispered, "it's really not as bad as she is making it seem," which was exactly what I needed to hear in that moment. I cannot recommend TBC highly enough and will absolutely be hiring them again if/when we have another baby. Oh, and, the pictures! Get the pictures! I don't even know when she had time to take pictures but they are treasured memories from that whirlwind of a day.
