Working with Carolyn was truly one of the best decisions we made for our birth experience. About a month before my due date, she came to our home and spent a few hours talking with me about how my pregnancy had been going, walking through my birth preferences, and answering every single question I had in detail. I went into pregnancy not fully understanding what a doula actually does or the level of support and advocacy they provide, but Carolyn completely transformed my perspective and my entire birth experience.

Leading up to the birth, there were many mornings and late nights where I texted her updates or questions. She always responded quickly with encouragement, reassurance, and thoughtful guidance. It was exactly what I needed during those final weeks.

When the day finally came, Carolyn was everything I didn’t even know to ask for. She showed up at exactly the right time and was such a calm, steady presence throughout the entire process. When doctors or nurses would say things and I wasn’t fully sure what was happening, I looked to Carolyn and she always had a clear explanation that helped me feel confident and informed.

Her calm energy made such a difference and helped everything go so smoothly. When it came time to push, she was the best cheerleader and honestly made the whole experience feel empowering and dare I say even fun!

She was also an incredible support for my husband, helping guide both of us through the process. We are so grateful she was part of such an important moment in our lives.

A few weeks after birth she even came to visit with a delicious meal and offered to help with anything we needed: holding the baby so I could nap, helping with laundry or dishes, or just providing support during those early postpartum days.

I truly cannot imagine going through birth without Carolyn. We are endlessly grateful for her knowledge, kindness, and support.
