Dasha and Sarah met with us and spent time talking to us and finding out what we wanted for our birth experience. As first time parents, it was hard navigating the various choices we were asked to make. Dasha and Sarah gave us so many materials and high quality information to make informed choices. They also gave us the right amount of space to make our own choice. They never pushed for any one specific thing. They balanced giving recommendations and giving space for decision making perfectly! They respected our decisions all around.
On the day of, Sarah was our doula and she was present for my full labor and delivery. She was there as soon as we needed her! Sarah was a such a calm and solid presence in the delivery room. She worked wonderfully well with the nurses and helped me explore different options and positions for pushing. I had an epidural for active labor but I was still supported and explored many positions for giving birth. I look back on my birth experience with so much joy. Sarah is a huge reason why. She also balanced stepping in when needed and giving room for family as needed. It was a great source of comfort having her on my birth team!
