We are so glad we chose Meredith as our doula! She was such a valuable support person in helping me reach my goal of an unmedicated labor, and in helping my husband feel supported as well. I was initially very anxious about not having pain medication, and she helped me feel so reassured and prepared as we discussed options and preferences.
Meredith’s presence throughout my labor and delivery was exactly what I needed. In early labor, she helped guide me with positions to try to get baby in an optimal position and keep things progressing (which I really believe helped!). She helped with pain management at home and then she knew exactly when we needed to go to the hospital. In the delivery room, she was supportive and helped advocate for my needs and preferences, without being overbearing at all. Everything went exactly as I had hoped, and I attribute so much of that to her presence in the room.
Beyond delivery, she was such a valuable resource in the early days postpartum and was able to offer helpful advice on all my questions, from managing cramping to lactation consultant recommendations.
In addition to all of that, Meredith is just so warm and kind. I am so glad she was part of my birth support team and I would highly recommend her to anyone who is looking for a doula!
