I hired Emilee as my doula for my second birth with the hope of a successful VBAC. During our initial virtual consult call I was so impressed by her warmth that radiated through the screen and felt so comfortable with her - like I had known her for much longer! She impressed me with her ability to hold two goals at once with me: having a healthy and safe birthing experience no matter if that required a c-section, AND a strong belief in our ability to do everything we could to make my VBAC dreams come true. I had the most empowering, beautiful, truly life-changing VBAC with Emilee at my side. She was ready to jump in exactly when I needed her even when my little one decided to make her entrance early and without much warning. Emilee was excellent at supporting both myself and guiding my husband too so that he could be integral to the experience as well. The intimacy of birth is so special and I felt so relieved and elated that I had picked Emilee to share in that experience with us. I just cannot say enough how meaningful Emilee's belief in me was -- it was so central to my successful VBAC. She partnered wonderfully with the hospital staff too.
