My husband and I were going back and forth about having a birth doula because we weren't sure if we'd want another person in the room in such a vulnerable position. Well, we are SO grateful that we chose to go with having Athena with us. She was a huge support to both my husband and I during labor, and was very involved with the nurses in a respectful way to help them out where she could. Because she was there, I was able to hold my husbands hand and be more present with him throughout labor, whereas he might have had to be more distracted without Athena's presence. Athena showed up promptly when we asked her to come, and had really good communication up to the labor as well. Her rates are also very reasonable. I would very much recommend!
