We've now had the opportunity to work with a small handful of doulas and Mia has definitely stood out from the bunch. During the birth of our son, she reassured us, guided us through what to expect at each stage, and advocated for us tactfully and with humor. Her experience came through clearly with both the quality and the breadth of her advice, feedback and "tips and tricks". After each visit my partner and I would look at each other and say "Why didn't anyone else suggest trying that?" or "I wish the doctor had explained it that way". She has been a generous and invaluable resource for us throughout the birth and post partum journey.
We also loved being able to take a break from the potentially-endless number of baby topics, to every now and then, nerd out about video games and movies with her for a bit.
