Julie is incredible. The birth of our little girl didn't go to plan at all, and Julie was there with us for every step of the way. After having to transfer to the hospital from the birth center, Julie was there with us and made sure that we were settled. It was scary to have to transfer and Julie advocated for us and helped me to understand what our options were. After induction she went home (we knew it was going to be a long process) but was texting my husband constantly and telling him how to help me change positions and get the baby moving. She joined us again when I was 28 hours into it and really losing afraid and tired. She supported me physically and her counter pressure made my contractions so much more manageable. She helped me make the decision to get some pain relief and while I was able to sleep she was there by my side for several hours, changing positions and giving me physical and mental support through each contraction. She was also a HUGE help to my husband; as he was finally able to get some sleep. After 48 hours of labor she was there supporting us as we made the decision for a c-section and advocated to be in the OR which was truly instrumental. She was able to her pictures of our daughter while my husband stayed by my side, and gave me updates to the baby as she needed some medical care after birth and I couldn't see her from the table. She stayed up with us all night and was nothing but caring and supportive, making a really scary situation feel possible for us to navigate. We are so thankful for her, anyone would be lucky to have her support through pregnancy and birth.
