She went above and beyond for me when my birth plan went differently than expected and I could not be more thankful. Prior to the birth she met with us and gave us wonderful encouragement and helpful preparation tools. During labor I would always see her out of the corner of my eye grabbing me water, whispering encouragement when contractions were difficult, and making sure I was as comfortable as I could be in that moment. She also knew when to get me moving again to continue the process so I wouldn’t stall. Her thoughtful and intentional care certainly helped me keep calm and at peace while I worked hard to bring my baby earth side. When I had to be transferred to the hospital due to a severe tear, she helped keep my mind distracted from my anxiety and kept me thinking of the beautiful baby waiting for me. She has continued to be a fountain of information and a great support during the rollercoaster of postpartum. It was a joy to have Renee as a team member on my birth team and I am so glad I found her.
