I can say with confidence that Beth entirely changed the course of my pregnancy and birth for the better. Immediately after my first call with Beth and her doula partner, Christine, my husband and I knew they were both the right fit—warm, supportive, and genuine in a way that made both of us feel seen and heard.
I was hoping to labor at home and have a hospital birth. Beth and Christine managed to read between the lines as I told them about my OB journey so far and gently guided me toward midwifery. Because of their recommendation, I switched providers around 20 weeks and the entire trajectory of my pregnancy and birth changed. I went from feeling uneasy in the doctor's office to looking forward to my appointments.
Like many, the birth I envisioned wasn't the birth I got. I was (reluctantly) induced at 41 weeks. Beth equipped me with the knowledge and confidence to feel a sense of control and autonomy during my hospital birth. During her postpartum visit, she helped get my baby to latch and patientially answered a laundry list of questions my husband and I had. I'm so, so thankful for the support I received. I wish everyone could have Beth by their side!
