When my partner and I found out we were expecting, I knew I wanted a doula but I didn't exactly know what our families needs would be. Riva asked all the right questions and was able to jump in and meet us where we were. We truly feel like we couldn't have had the successful birthing experience we had without her (nor would we want to).
She was there for us the whole pregnancy and answered any and all questions we had. When I went into labor she was the first person I called and she arrived promptly at our home to assist us.
During labor and birth, she was the calm and safe presence we both needed. Words can't even begin to describe how thankful we are for her. After our little guy was born, she made sure we were all taken care of and ensured we had a smooth transition back to our home. Riva is someone you want in your corner during pregnancy, birth and postpartum.
We were also lucky enough to take her childbirth ed and newborn classes and we learned so much from them. She was able to ease all of our worries about birth and help prepare us for the newborn stage.
Riva has so much knowledge and experience - I am grateful to have had her on our team during such a transformative time in our lives. She is truly an incredible doula, educator, and human.
