Erin is a truly wonderful human and an absolute expert in her field. She supported us as our doula and also spent a full day with us for an in-home birthing and baby class. Erin came highly recommended by a family member who is a retired doula, and I am so grateful we were connected.
The in-home class was incredibly valuable for both my husband and me. It helped us get on the same page about what to expect and gave us space to explore how we were each feeling going into birth. Erin shared information in a thoughtful, balanced way that empowered us to make our own decisions, fully informed of different scenarios and potential decision points. I felt confident in her knowledge at the time, and even more so after experiencing birth and recovery myself.
I ultimately ended up being induced, and labor progressed quite quickly. Erin appeared at my side exactly when I needed her most—almost like magic. She held my hand and stayed with us after our baby girl was born, right up until it was time for us to be moved to the postpartum ward. She made sure I was cared for after birth and even made me the most wonderful toast I’ve ever had (funny the things that stick with you). I can say without a doubt that I was able to breastfeed—and still am, four months later—because of Erin’s support and expertise. I will be forever grateful for that.
Erin is warm, compassionate, and an incredibly reassuring presence during one of the most vulnerable experiences of becoming a new mother. No matter how our birth unfolded, I feel so lucky to have had her in our corner. Anyone who works with Erin is without question in the most capable, loving hands.
