Hiring Mia was by far the best decision of our pregnancy journey. We had never worked with a Doula before, but my husband and I knew we wanted the additional support and expertise. From the first meeting with Mia we were already feeling more confident and comfortable with the unexpected, thanks to Mia's knowledge and support - both in person and any time via phone. Mia helped us curate a thoughtful plan and answered all of our questions about the things we didnt even know we needed to know. More importantly, she was there when things didn't go to plan in the hospital and helped me both advocate for myself and understand trade offs in my most vulnerable moments. Mia was also essential is supporting my husband through this experience, in the moments he was also scared and exhausted- but didn't show in an effort to support me. The care Mia provides extends beyond birth, with valuable home visits and check-ins, when birthing parents often may feel a bit more "forgotten" in the days/weeks following. Mia is a Doula open to whatever your preferences are, never bringing judgement and only informed care to every situation. I wasn't sure I could fully bring someone new into such an intimate and vulnerable setting, but we clicked and instantly felt comfortable. Would absolutely hire Mia again in the future and would recommend others do the same. Thank you, Mia!
