I wholeheartedly recommend using Rocky Pogge at Tallahassee Birth Services as your doula! My husband originally suggested using a doula for our first birth. I was not convinced that we needed one, but I decided to meet with Rocky. I’m so glad we did! We met with Rocky 3 times before birth, she attended our labor/delivery, and we met with her once after birth as well. The 3 pre-birth meetings were extremely helpful. She helped us develop a birth plan, learn all about laboring, and then for the last meeting we chose a topic. We ended up choosing childcare (diapering, swaddling, feeding, etc). All of the sessions were extremely helpful. During labor she worked extremely well with the hospital staff. The nurses at TMH really like her. I’m so glad she was there for my birth. It was very comforting to have someone there who could help me advocate for myself and an extra support person to assist during labor. The post-birth session was a great way to get a few questions answered about baby care. She helped me troubleshoot my oversupply, gave me some great tips for diaper rash, and reviewed the labor and delivery with me. If you’re looking for a dedicated, educated, and passionate doula, absolutely choose Rocky.
