Testimonial for Enza Lilley
I can’t even begin to put into words how incredible Enza is and how special it has been to have her at the birth of both of my children. There were seven years between my pregnancies, but reconnecting with Enza felt effortless, as if no time had passed at all.
From the very beginning of my pregnancy, Enza was there every single step of the way. My most recent pregnancy was emotionally very hard, and it truly felt like she held a special place in her heart for me and my baby. She became more than a doula to me, her presence felt protective, and deeply nurturing during one of the most vulnerable seasons of my life.
When I was facing some complications, Enza came to a doctor’s appointment with me and even offered to attend others. I know how precious her time is, so I didn’t take her up on every offer but she was always on standby, waiting for updates and making sure I never felt alone.
On the day of labor, Enza arrived at the hospital before I did. She advocated for me multiple times and on multiple levels throughout my labor. I chose to have a natural birth, but I experienced intense back contractions that were incredibly difficult. Enza pulled every tool out of her pocket to help. At first nothing seemed to work and then she said she wanted to try something “old school.” Whatever she did worked, and it helped carry me to the finish line.
She knew exactly what I needed and when I needed it. She ensured the entire staff was on the same page and created a calm, relaxing atmosphere in the room. At one point, I had an issue with a nurse who was not being supportive, and Enza stepped in and handled the situation with professionalism and strength. I felt completely protected.
Even after the birth, she continues to go above and beyond. Enza will always hold a very special place in my heart. Having her by my side was one of the greatest gifts of my birth experience.
