I hired Brooke through my employer fertility benefit, Carrot. I wasn't sure if I needed a doula because it was my third pregnancy and I thought that I knew what to expect based on how the first two went, but boy was I wrong! I had an epidural, but due to an extremely fast labor and delivery I felt everything. I had not really psychologically prepared for an unmedicated birth. Brooke was instrumental in getting me through that experience. She was able to use techniques that gave me physical relief and that significantly improved my experience. Although my husband was very supportive, there was no way he could have implemented what Brooke was doing--it's clear she had many years of experience behind what she was trying. She positoned me to help labor proceed and to give me relief during contractions. Another massive benefit with Brooke was the birth photos she took. The quality of the photos was absolutely AMAZING. Not to mention the flower prints of her feet. These will be cherished. I also really appreciated Doula support postpartum. Brooke helped me through a couple difficult nights with early breast-feeding of a small baby. Her positive and comforting demeanor really permeated all of her interactions. All in all I highly recommend Brooke!
