Hello to any this may reach! My name is Laila and I am a 24 y/o first time mom! When I found out I was pregnant I knew for sure I was going to need a birth doula and immediately went to Flourish care! Through flourish care I was connected to Jen Pina! From the first time we connected on the phone to present day she felt like a friend! She was very easy to talk to, answered all of my questions without judgement, and prioritized connection on a personal level! She's very flexible and available even outside of scheduled appointments. I unfortunately was diagnosed with Covid the day I got admitted to the maternity ward. We both decided it was best if she stayed home with her family to protect them but she made sure to still provide support over the phone! I texted her with constant updates and even questions about any care I had in the hours leading up to my water breaking. Once my water broke and the contractions really started someone on my support team was on FaceTime with her! Even from her home she didn't hesitate to drop everything to be present with us! She offered co start emotional support and encouragement, recommended different positions to help with progression, spoke with my support team and nurses on how to help me through the worst of it! She coached me and my support team on exactly how to help me while I pushed and still made sure if I said I wanted something the doctor listened! I could not have gotten through it without her! Even in postpartum if I have a question or even just want to share with her the joy she helped me bring into this world she's there with a smile! I will 100% be reaching out to her for any future children I have and reccomending her going forward!
