The best decision I have made in my life, next to deciding to have a baby, was hiring Kaitlyn and Noura for my journey. My husband was doubtful that we needed to hire doulas on top of having midwives. I kept telling him, you will understand at the end. One of the first things he said to me after our son was born was “I am so glad we hired them.”
I could never explain their value in one review- to sum it up, you will have the best team, people who will answer all your questions, guide you through literally everything, support you in ways a medical practice could never do (mentally, spiritually, physically), support and protect your decisions and wishes (this is critical during labor and birth), and will support you during labor, birth, and after birth in ways that make them feel more like family than simply people you hired to do a job. In fact, I was just as if not more comfortable having either of them there with me through labor than my husband or any of my close friends or family.
I made it through an unmedicated birth thanks to Noura, who was there every second for 14+ hours- I don’t know anyone else that works that hard and with that much integrity. Trust me, you will never regret hiring this dynamic duo of amazing women. My husband and I are eternally grateful for all they have done for us! Doulas are like angels sent to watch over your family at the most important moments of your life.
