Nolwenn was our birth doula. As a first time mother, I was incredibly nervous about labor and the birth, and having to make difficult choices while in pain. Nolwenn met with us before the birth to understand our birth plan, and offered evidence based guidance on some things we were still unsure about. We appreciated that she was able to provide us with resources to make our own decisions, and that she was supportive no matter what we chose. She also walked us through several ways to manage early labor at home, and was available for us whenever we had questions.
During labor, she was incredible. I had a long labor and was sleep deprived, which meant I ended up leaning on her very heavily to advocate for me with nurses, and huddle with us when doctors suggested interventions. She helped us stick to our birth plan, coached me through contractions, helped me move through different positions when labor was not progressing, kept my spirits up, and was instrumental in me being able to deliver naturally.
My husband and I both had a really positive experience with Nolwenn, and would recommend her to any parents looking for a birth doula.
