Testimonial for Rebekah Francis
Rebekah joined our family as a postpartum doula and was a calm, comforting, and warm presence in our home. All of our family members live far away and because our daughter was born early, they couldn't visit us for the first few weeks after her birth. Rebekah stepped in tremendously to help:
- She helped us with strategies for feeding, soothing, and caring for our first child
- She looked after the baby overnight so we could get some sleep
- She probably washed and folded a million little baby clothes :)
- One of the biggest struggles for us was making time to cook nutritious meals, while adjusting to newborn life and feeling somewhat behind (due to baby's early arrival). Rebekah was a great fit for us because of this, as one of her unique talents is cooking. We love how Rebekah drew on her family's Caribbean culture to make delicious meals for us; Caribbean and Indian spice blends and meal components have some overlap, so her meals worked well for how we usually ate, and added something new to our rotation.
All in all, we loved working with Rebekah and would happily do so again, should we have another child!
