Priya was by far the most helpful and professional doula. For reference, i am a first time mom and a postpartum nurse. I went into this experience with a lot of knowledge. However, i found Priya to be very informative before and during my birth. Before labor, she met with my husband and i to review what labor would look like and format my birth plan. She talked about expectations during labor and options on things i could ask for and what they meant. She is very educated and knowledgeable.
During labor, she set up my room with the most beautiful twinkle lights, essential oils, and other relaxing things to set the mood. She brought items that i didn’t know would be helpful until i was in labor, and then i was so thankful for the little details that helped focus my mind on the task at hand and calm me down. She listened to me and reassured me that my labor was my journey and supported every decision ever step of the way. She also made sure my decisions were always informed decisions. She tailored her support based on how i learn and communicate.
She also provided me with something like à la carte pricing where i could pick what i needed her for and tailored the price to that as i was a cash patient. She also provided packages to choose from. I appreciated her working with my budget and adjusting her services to my needs. I found this unique in comparison to the other doulas in the area.
I would highly recommend Priya for any labor experience and would use her again!
