I’ve known Christie for a while and absolutely loved her already, but hiring her as my doula exceeded every expectation. From the start, she sent pregnancy and birth resources and came to our home for a visit, making sure I was focusing on nutrition, body mechanics, and feeling confident and informed. She’s truly a well of wisdom when it comes to birth, and you can tell she genuinely loves being part of it.
When my water started leaking, Christie encouraged me to do the Miles Circuit. When she arrived at our house, she was such a peaceful, comforting presence. When things didn't seem to be moving along, She suggested pumping and different positions to help baby get into an optimal position — and every single thing kick-started labor.
She allowed my husband to be my main comforter while guiding him through counterpressure, breathing, and how to best support me. They worked seamlessly together, and I truly don’t think I would have stayed as mentally steady without both of them reminding me to relax and breathe. I know my husband appreciated her guidance just as much as I did.
Christie made sure I was hydrated, eating for energy, and changing positions regularly. She stayed in constant communication with our midwife and never disrupted my flow during contractions — offering the perfect balance of giving me space while stepping in when needed. I truly don’t believe I would have had such a successful, positive VBAC without Christie. She is incredible at what she does, and you won’t regret having her as part of your birth. ??
